Reanna Karousis
Reanna Karousis is the Fund’s Director of Operations, charged with ensuring operational effectiveness through process management, cross-functional coordination, governance and compliance, change management and communications.
She joined the Fund as its Director of Communications in June 2022, and provided contract communications support prior to this through her communications consultancy, Collective Reach. During this tenure, Reanna worked with the Fund on several key communications efforts and strategic initiatives, including project oversight of the Where Are the Workers? analysis, production and content support on the Where Matters report, online content development and management, and design and production of the Fund’s annual reports from 2018-2020.
Prior to consulting, Reanna served as the Communications and Development Officer to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Tim McGinty and coordinated local and national media relations, grant-writing and collaboration around national and local efforts to eliminate the sexual assault kit backlog, among other projects. Before that, she worked in nonprofit international aid and community health care in Cleveland and South Carolina.
Reanna graduated Summa cum Laude from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in public relations. She serves on the board of the Friends of the Medina County District Library, was a member of Leadership Medina’s LEAD Institute class of 2022 and was a member of Cleveland Bridge Builders class of 2013. Along with her spouse and children, Reanna lives on an old family farm with a motley assortment of dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and goats. Having once been described as a “human Swiss Army knife” for her diverse skills and interests, Reanna frequently and enthusiastically adopts and abandons a wide range of hobbies. She is handy with a chainsaw.
